Role in Elim: Worship Band - Trumpet and ReAct drama group leader
How long have you attended Elim? 19 years
My Story: I started going to the Salvation Army when I was eight years old.
My uncle used to take me. I soon made friends and before long I was in the
junior choir and I also started to learn to play an instrument in the band.
It was during this time that I had my first experience of Jesus in my life,
I had heard a lot about Jesus and what he'd done for me but most of it
was just stories.
A short time after that I started going to Elim, some friends had started
going because there was a larger youth group and the people who went
seemed to have something I didn't. Shortly after that I gave my life to Jesus
and was baptised.
Now I am serving God in the worship band which is a fantastic privilege.
I've started a drama group because it's something I feel that I can use to
magnify Jesus, I have a great bunch of people in the group and we are
currently writing new material.
Life isn't always easy but with Jesus as my lord and saviour I know that whatever happens Jesus is there to guide and protect me.
Favourite Bible verse: Proverbs 3 v 5 and 6: In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.
