We are running Soul Sistas and Soul Brothers on alternate Tuesday evenings at 7.00pm. This group is for Year 6 and High Schoolers. We are privileged to have young people from a range of churches in our area and are really happy that we can help build community.

We will begin on Tuesday 8th September 2020 on Zoom. The new Zoom policy means that under 16's should only access Zoom calls on an adult's account, so if you would like the link and any help with how this app works please email

We are aware that this platform might feel strange for some. We have previously begun sessions together as a big group and then split into breakout rooms where we can talk to age appropriate smaller groups and everyone can have a voice (there will always be two leaders in any group). As our numbers of lads grow, we hope that they will have their own small groups.

Our hope in the long run is to invite Soul Sistas Soul Brothers back to a building (Halifax Elim Church), so our programme for the autumn term will be one that could both run on Zoom and in person. The latest advice allows us to run young peoples groups of up to 15 and we feel we could run two or three groups with different exits and entrances. So watch this space!

We have always been about hanging out, chatting about things that matter and being ourselves. We discuss life's big questions, like identity, anger, self-esteem and relationships. We pray, read the bible, see what it has to say and discuss it!

Games, activities, crafts, a cuppa, sweets, chocolate and creative stuff have been important to us. In this next season we will have to be very creative and safe and we will definitely need to bring our own 'hot chocolate' and bags of treats to a SSSB session.

All leaders have current DBS checks. We are seeking to be Covid compliant in all that we do, whilst upholding Child Protection and Safe Guarding Policies.

We are so looking forward to seeing new and old faces! Come and join us!

God Bless,

Sarah and the Soul Sista's Soul Brothers team!
